SEATTLE, Wash. – University of Dallas men’s basketball 2016 graduate, Kyle Poe (Ventura, Calif.), traveled to Costa Rica from June 8th-16th for Beyond Sports’ Fourth Annual Costa Rica Men’s Basketball Tour.
SCAC Releases 2015-16 Winter Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll

2016 Athletics Banquet held Sunday

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas Athletics Department celebrated the third annual athletic banquet on Sunday at the Haggar University Center on campus. Each coach for the 14 NCAA affiliated programs took a few minutes to reflect on the teams’ year. The Most Valuable Players (MVPs) were announced, which are voted by the athletes on each team once a season ends. Other notable honors were handed out and/or announced.
Gonzalez and Mayer attend NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum

IRVING, Texas – Two student-athletes from the University of Dallas attended the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum held in Phoenix, Arizona, from April 7-10. Junior men’s basketball player Lorenzo Gonzalez (San Antonio, Texas) and junior women’s soccer player Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii) represented the Crusaders.
Onyenso and Poe Named among SCAC All-Sportsmanship Teams

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the eighth annual All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 41 student-athletes were selected to the 2015-16 squad in the sports of men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s swimming & diving and women’s swimming and diving.

UNIONTOWN, Pa. - During the championship banquet at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort on Tuesday night, the USCAA announced the 2016 USCAA Basketball National All-Academic team. National All-Academic team honors are awarded to student-athletes of sophmore standing or higher with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Uniontown, Pa. – Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, the presenting sponsor of the 2016 USCAA Basketball National Championships, played host to the USCAA championship banquet on Tuesday night. At the banquet the USCAA awarded 128 All-Americans in its four divisions of basketball.

SHERMAN, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team (10-15, 4-10 SCAC) fell at Austin College (14-10, 4-10 SCAC) on Saturday. The Crusaders poured 54 points in the second half, but could not erase a 10-point deficit at intermission.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball team (10-13, 4-9 SCAC) dropped its final home game this year in a 78-70 final against Southwestern University (12-12, 9-4 SCAC). The Pirates claimed the season series with a win at both venues. Dallas has dropped five in a row.
Men's Basketball cannot Halt Texas Lutheran Friday

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s basketball (10-12, 4-8 SCAC) fell 80-71 to Texas Lutheran University (18-5, 10-2 SCAC) on Friday night at the Maher Center. Despite outscoring the number two ranked team in the South Region by nine in the second half, the Crusaders faced too large of a hole at halftime (51-33). Dallas moved to sixth place in the conference standings after Trinity University edged Colorado College by one point the same night.
