IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team released its 2017 schedule. Kelli Trautmann begins her first year at the helm for a Crusaders team that will be away from the Maher Center often.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Dallas nominated Jessie Koster (Sherwood, Ore.) for 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year, which was released along with all listed nominees on Tuesday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The University of Dallas recently nominated Jessie Koster (Sherwood, Ore.) for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Woman of the Year. On Friday, the conference released seven finalists with the recent graduate from May being among those that qualified.

IRVING, Texas – On Sunday the University of Dallas Athletic Department celebrated the fourth annual athletic banquet held at Haggar University Center on campus. Each coach for the 15 NCAA affiliated programs were asked to summarize the year for their teams. The team-voted Most Valuable Players (MVPS) were announced and handed out. Coaches also noted other conference achievements, program records, and student-athlete milestones.

IRVING, Texas – Kelli Trautmann was announced as the new head coach for the University of Dallas volleyball team. Trautmann becomes the 17th coach named to the helm for the program. She replaces Prentice Lewis, who resigned in mid-February. Trautmann begins her first day at the institution next Tuesday, March 28.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Jessie Koster (Sherwood, Ore.) was granted a $7,500 scholarship for part-time or full-time postgraduate study at a university or professional school from the NCAA. Koster is majoring in Biology and applying for Dentistry Programs after her anticipated graduation later this May.

IRVING, Texas – Today the University of Dallas announced head coach Prentice Lewis submitted her resignation effective February 28. She has accepted a high school position. Dallas will begin seeking its next candidate for the head coaching position immediately.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its ninth annual fall All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 41 student-athletes were selected to the 2016 squad in the sports of men’s cross country, women’s cross country, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball.

IRVING, Texas – On Sunday the University of Dallas recognized three former student-athletes being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Edgar Tavares was selected for men’s soccer, Kelli Fuentes was selected for volleyball, and Bastian Vaandrager was selected for men’s tennis. This trio becomes the 19th class - since the first in 1998 - to introduce former Crusaders into the Dallas Athletics Hall of Fame. The total number of inductees has now reached 67 after Sunday’s ceremony.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – On Friday, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) released the soccer, volleyball, and cross country All-Academic Team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.5-mark.
