May Lien Le Named UD Women's Soccer MVP

IRVING, Texas – May Lien Le (Katy, Texas) claimed the Team MVP for the University of Dallas women’s soccer team this 2021 spring season. Le grabbed the honor for the second time in the junior’s career, as she produced a top defensive season that netted her SCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Le also earned SCAC All-Tournament Team and All-SCAC First Team. She has been an all-conference winner all three seasons with the Crusaders.

IRVING, Texas - On Friday, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Soccer All-Tournament Team was released as part of the weekly conference release. The University of Dallas had five players named to the All-Tournament Team. This quintet of players were: Andrea Coppi (Keller, Texas), May Lien Le (Katy, Texas), Alyssa Mencacci (League City, Texas), Macey Henderson (San Antonio, Texas) and Avery Seaman (Bedford, Texas).

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - In exclusive voting by head coaches of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), the All-SCAC Awards and Teams were released this morning, Wednesday, May 5. The University of Dallas women's soccer team’s May Lien Le (Katy, Texas) was awarded the SCAC Defensive Player of the Year award. In addition, four Crusaders, including Le, were selected to the SCAC All-Conference Team. Alyssa Mencacci (League City, Texas) and Le were named All-SCAC First Team, and Macey Henderson (San Antonio, Texas) was named All-SCAC Second Team and Bekah Gonzalez (Reno, Nev.) was named All-SCAC Honorable Mention.

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's soccer team lost to Trinity University 4-0 in the Championship of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) tournament on Sunday. Trinity scored a pair of goals within the first six minutes and cruised to victory.

SEGUIN, Texas - The No. 3 Seed University of Dallas women's soccer team defeated No. 2 Seed Southwestern University 1-0 in the semifinal of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) tournament on Saturday. In a thrilling game that saw both defenses stand their ground, Andrea Coppi (Keller, Texas) finally found the back of the net deep in double overtime for the victory.

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's soccer team will host Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponent the University of St. Thomas this Saturday in the quarterfinal of the SCAC tournament. Earlier this season, these two teams met in Houston in which the Crusaders won 1-0. The last time these two teams met in Irving, the Crusaders defeated the Celts 2-1.
