IRVING, Texas – University of Dallas softball coach Caitlynn Dykes announced her resignation on Wednesday to pursue other opportunities. A national search for the next head coach of the program will begin immediately.

NORFOLK, Va. – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced its National All-Academic Team for softball. Emily Martin (San Jose, Calif.) picked up the honor for the University of Dallas. It is her first time to achieve the honor in the senior’s career, and gives the program a recipient for the eighth year since 2010.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its 12th annual spring All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 72 student-athletes were selected to the 2020 squad in the sports of baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.

The University of Dallas softball team is recognizing Julie Duenas (Houston, Texas), Mackenzie Tano (Wylie, Texas), and Emily Martin (San Jose, Calif.). The trio impacted the Crusaders the past three to four seasons, lettering in all of them and playing in at least 10 games this shortened spring.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play with a home setback to No. 1 Texas Lutheran University on Friday night. Things were even after three innings for the teams, as the Crusaders scored a tying run in the third frame. TLU erupted for seven runs in the fourth and took advantage of five errors in the victory to remain unblemished overall.
