2019 SCAC Cross Country Championships Tournament Central

1st year head coach Nick Schneigert has been excited for sophomore runner Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) who has won all six races that she has competed in this fall. That total broke the season record for wins and surpassed Hall of Famer Elena Yates when she won four times in 2005. Wilgenbusch has also broken the school 2 miles (12:17.7), 3.1 Miles (19:12.5), 5k (17:53.4), and 6k (22:23.4) records on this tear. Wilgenbusch has been named SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week in four of the seven weeks the award has been handed out.

Emma Kate Callahan (Overland Park, Kan.) finished second in all six races among the UD team. She gathered a second place finish at the University of Dallas Invitational (5k) on October 5th with a time of 22:06.8 and notched a third place finish at the ETBU Tiger Invitational (25:23.7). Callahan has found PR's in the 6k (24:47.0) and 5k (20:30.6) races this year and has gathered four top-ten finishes so far. Sabrina Lucio (Chino, Calif.) has been a key runner for the Crusaders with a fourth place finish in the opening meet and took 24th at the UT-Dallas Invite on September 14th.

In the last meet of the season Elizabeth Regnerus (Round Rock, Texas) and Mary Korth (McKinney, Texas) grabbed Personal Records (PR's) with times of 27:02.0 and 27:17.0, respectively. Angelina Huffman has been a solid new addition to the team as she has been recording good times in just three collegiate races. Isabella Childs (Saint Mary's Kan.), Maria Pecha (San Antonio, Texas), and Katie Winston (Phoenix, Ariz.) all finished middle of the pack at the Bill Libby Invitational but each recorded PR's to add momentum heading into the conference championships.

Regnerus added a top ten finish to her resume finishing 6th at the University of Dallas Invitational. Several other participants have helped paved the way for a successful season thus far.
