Emily Caples selected to 2013 All-@SCAC_Sports Volleyball 'Second Team'
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - For the second-consecutive year, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) has announced University of Dallas junior middle blocker Emily Caples to the 2013 All-SCAC Volleyball Second Team.
Having appeared in 127 sets and 38 matches this season, the 6-foot-2 Caples (Walnut Creek, Calif.) ended regular-season play leading Dallas in kills (368), kills per set (2.9), total attacks (940), blocks (102) and blocks per set (.80).
Caples holds Top-10 SCAC rankings in kills (third), blocks (fourth), blocks per set (fifth), kills per set (seventh) and total attacks (eighth). Additionally, she has 458.5 points (third), 3.6 points per set (third), 15 block solos (third), 87 block assists (fourth) and a .241 hitting percentage (ninth).
Of note, Caples was named to the 2011 All-SCAC Third Team in her freshman campaign.
