Emily was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Volleyball Offensive Player-ofthe-Week for matches played from Monday, Aug. 27 through Sunday, Sept. 2.  Also for matches played from Monday, Oct. 8 through Sunday, Oct. 14. selected All-Conference 'Second Team' by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced a 2012 Honorable Mention by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA)

Emily hails from Walnut Creek, Ca, in the East Bay area of Northern California. She attended and played volleyball for Carondelet High School, where she was a scholar athlete anchoring the middle for the Cougars. Emily played club ball for Xceleration and NorCal volleyball clubs, twice leading her team to the USAV Junior National Championships.

Emily came to UD in the fall of 2011 and immediately earned a starting spot in the middle for the Crusaders. Her freshman campaign was cut short when an ankle injury knocked her out for the final third of the season. Even so she put up impressive numbers, knocking down 257 kills, averaging 2.52 kills/set. Emily hit a robust .321 for the year, ranking her fourth in the 12-team SCAC and earning her 3rd-team All-Conference honors.

Off the court, Emily is majoring in Math / Chemistry with a possible career interest in Chemical Engineering. In addition to volleyball and her studies Emily is active with several clubs and organizations on campus.
