Women's Lacrosse falls at Hendrix

CONWAY, Ark. – The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team (0-1) fell 16-1 at Hendrix College (1-1) on Sunday. It was a tough day for the Lady Crusaders, as HC tallied its first victory of the campaign with eight goals being scored in both stanzas.

Dallas was led offensively by freshman Erin Chadwick (Tampa Bay, Fl.)  The midfielder connected on the mark with her first collegiate goal with 3:17 minutes remaining until the break.

She matched junior Hayley Rodgers (Houston, Texas) with a quartet of groundballs to pace the Navy and White. Patty Hahn (Plano, Texas) and Anne Belton (Luray, Va.) added three apiece in the setback. Hendrix outshot the Lady Crusaders by 20.

The first of eight unanswered occurred about three minutes into the affair. Michaela Seltzer for the Warriors found the back of the net, with an assist coming from Raychl Reger.

Reger was one of two players to garner a hat trick, along with Shelby Hill. Leading the Orange and Black with the most goals was Bridget Umble with five on nine shot attempts, which also was a game-high.

In the net for UD and saddled with the loss was senior Christine Jablonsky (Colorado Springs, Colo.), who collected 15 saves.

Opposing her in the goalkeeping position was Rebecca Alexander (1-1), who earned the win in 50:27 minutes of action. Jannica Bonilla finished the contest with 9:33 in the cage.
