Crusaders Band Together in University of the Ozarks Invitational

CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas -- Women's Cross Country took on a rough course, hilly and heated, a perfect storm for fatigue.

The Crusaders stuck with the plan set in motion by head coach Nick. Since most of the team ran a very similar race, the strategy was to use the pack today and lean on each other. Maya, Teresa, Ally, and Therese stuck together for this race to push each other. This resulted in a PR for Therese Portilla.

Allison Leonesio came in at 22:30.20, Maya Prochnov at 22:42.70, Teresa Cashen at 22:50.10 and Therese Portilla a time of 22:56.10. All managed to make the top 20, just under 23 minutes 

Abigail Piotrowski rounded us out in 26th of 47 with a time of 23:40.10, with a team finish of 4th out of 6 teams.
