Crusaders Wrap Up Season at SCAC Championships

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The University of Dallas women's cross country team competed in the SCAC Championships hosted by Southwestern University on Saturday.  The Crusaders placed sixth overall with a score of 177 points.  Colorado College were the champions with a score of 15 points, with Trinity right behind at 50 points.

Ella Davis and Maria Pecha were in a dead heat with each other.  Davis finished the 6k in 31:02.8, with Pecha right on her heels at 31:03.2.  Miranda Roach and Melissa Gabino were also paired up in the standings.  Roach finished in 31:35.7, with Gabino posting a PR of 31:35.9.   Emily Luna rounded out the field for Dallas with a time of 37:04.1.

"It was a great performance from the team today on a very hilly course, I was happy to see Melissa grab her PR," said head coach Nick Schneigert.  "It was a very challenging course, but I am super proud of them and we had a lot of fun this year.  I'm very excited to see the future of this program."
