Women's Cross Country Test Their Mettle at Griak 2021
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - This afternoon, the University of Dallas women's cross country team took part in the 35th running of the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota. The Crusaders went up against some of the toughest competition in the NCAA, running the 6k on a tough course in brutal rainy conditions. They finished 23rd in a field of 27 teams with a total time of 2:16:28.
Anna Wilgenbusch paced the Crusaders yet again, finishing 45th in the massive field of over 300 racers with a final time of 23:51.0. Alyssa Harris was the next to finish with a final time of 27:14, with Grace Ebberwein (27:52) and Agnes Hernandez (28:06) finishing soon after.
The Crusaders are right back at it next weekend as they will take part in the Chili Pepper Festival, hosted by the University of Arkansas. They will run the 6k on Friday, Oct. 1 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
