Wilgenbusch and Crusaders Dominate in UD Invitational

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's cross country team were dominant in their first home event since hosting the SCAC Championship in February.  They hosted SAGU, Dallas Christian, and the University of the Southwest in the annual UD Invitational 5k.  The Crusaders won the meet with a team score of 18 points, with four runners finishing in the Top 5 in the field of 17.

Despite running a conservative race, Anna Wilgenbusch couldn't help but dominate the field, finishing in first place with a time of 20:04, a full minute and a half faster than Alyssa Harris, who took home the second place finish.  It was Wilgenbusch's 10th career meet win, making her the Crusader's career leader in wins.

Grace Ebberwein and Agnes Hernandez finished fourth and fifth, with times of 23:15 and 23:29, respectively.  Samantha Jasso of Southwest was the only runner outside of UD to finish in the Top 5, taking third place with a time of 24:17.  SAGU took second place with 55 points, Southwest finishing in third with 57 points.
