Kennedy gets 2nd Team All-American; Women's Cross Country USCAA Results

LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Dallas women's cross country team took sixth place in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) on Friday. The Crusaders totaled 130 points as a team and would race in their third 6K this fall.

Claiming 2nd team All-American was freshman Bridget Kennedy (San Antonio, Texas) with a 10th place finish to pace the Lady Crusaders individually. The rookie etched a time of 24:56 minutes.

Senior Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho) completed her cross country career with a time of 26:30 minutes for 28th overall. Altogether, 120 runners would participate in this competition. Fellow teammate Emma Polefko (Cypress, Texas) and freshman Clare Basil (Arnold, Md.) tallied the following times: 27:20 and 27:26, respectively.

Aine McMorrow from SUNY Canton won the individual championship with the best time of 23:34 minutes. Berea College's Emily DeNigris etched a 23:59 score for second place, and Madison Paquette from Cleary University rounded the top three with a time of 24:05.

The final team standings reflected Berea College winning the championship with 46 points. Clearly University was second with 77, and SUNY ESF notched third with 98.

Dallas has concluded the women's cross country fall campaign.
