@UofDallas Women's Cross Country completes SCAC Tournament in third place

BOERNE, Texas – The University of Dallas women's cross country team competed in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship Saturday, and finished third place out of eight squads.

Junior Claire Myers (Grosse Pointe, Minn.) paced the Lady Crusaders with a top finish, getting slotted in 11th place with a time of 24:46 minutes. Her efforts were rewarded with recognition on the SCAC All-Conference Team.

A trio of racers for the navy and white would notch 16-18 on the rankings, which included: senior Danielle Pajak (Pagosa Springs, Colo.), junior Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho), and senior Meghan Falconer (Kohler, Wis.). The unit tallied totals of 25:40, 26:00, and 26:01 minutes, respectively.

Another solid running result was posted by senior Colleen Slattery (Middle Ridge, Wis.), who came in at 26:55 minutes.

Colorado College benefited from top two individual performances by Leah Wessler and Rebecca Lavietes who boasted top scores to take first and second, respectively in the individual category. The Tigers won the team award for their overall whole effort over the weekend.

Trinity University claimed second and was led by Nicola Hill with a 24:08 score for third in the individuals.

Next Opponent:

Dallas will enjoy a week off before heading to Berry, Georgia, for the NCAA Division III South Regional hosted by Berry College on Nov. 15.
