@UofDallas Women's Cross Country claims 'Second Place' in East Texas Baptist Invitational

MARSHALL, Texas – The University of Dallas women's cross country team boasted its highest finish of the campaign, and placed a trio of runners in the top 10 at the East Texas Baptist University Invitational.

The Lady Crusaders clinched second place, finishing behind University of Texas at Tyler.

Pacing the way for Dallas was senior Clare Myers (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) ranking fourth in the standings and a time of 25:12.68 minutes. Teammate Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho) claimed a season-high fifth place right behind her. The junior boasted a time of 25:28.37.  

Rounding out the top 10 unit was senior Danielle Pajak (Pagosa Springs, Colo.) racing 26:30.43 minutes to slot in 10th on the standings board.

Seniors Colleen Slattery (Middle Ridge, Wis.) and Meghan Falconer (Kohler, Wis.) posted solid times with 26:54.28 and 27:05.53 to pick up 15th and 17th, respectively.

Junior Elizabeth Hinchley (Magnolia, Texas) added a time of 28:52.31 to help continue the big day for the navy and white.

Next Meet:

Dallas will run on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Sherman, Texas, as they compete in the Austin College Invite.
