@UofDallas Women's Cross Country earns 'Third Place' at Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational

WEST ALLIS, Wis. - The University of Dallas women's cross country team placed third out of 14 squads in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning. 

Dallas averaged 25:19.46 minutes as a team, coming behind Dubuque and the tournament's champion, Trinity Christian University.

Senior runner Clare Myers (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) paced the navy and white, with a team-best 24:51.4 minutes. She placed 11th and was part of a quartet of Lady Crusaders to crack the top-20 spots in the rankings that included 134 participants.

Also joining the unit were junior Ruth Fritz (Boise, Idaho) with a time of 24:55.8 and 13th finish, and seniors Danielle Pajak (Pagosa Springs, Colo.) and Meghan Falconer (Kohler, Wi.). The duo compiled 25:25.3 and 25:27 minutes for 18th and 19th, respectively.

Senior Colleen Slattery (Middle Ridge, Wis.) also added a solid score, running 25:55.5 minutes overall.

Dallas is set to compete in the East Texas Baptist University Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11, in Marshall, Texas.
