Dallas Volleyball Announces 2023 Schedule

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's volleyball team has announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023 season.

They will play 35 regular season games, consisting of 17 conference matches and 18 non-conference matches.  The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship will take place November 10 and 11 at Southwestern University.

The Crusaders are still on the road more often than not, but they get to play in front of their home crowd more than they did last year with 11 home matches scheduled in 2023 compared to just nine in the 2022 season.

Dallas will start the 2023 season at home as they host a five-way crossover with Arlington Baptist, Paul Quinn College, Lyon College, and Sul Ross State on Sept. 1 and 2.  They follow that up with nine straight games on the road, playing in tournaments hosted by East Texas Baptist (Sept. 8-9) and Millsaps College (Sept. 15-16).  The Crusaders will host Centenary and Austin College for the first conference weekend on Sept. 23 before finishing off the month against Trinity and Schreiner, hosted by Centenary.

Nearly all of October will be spent on the road for conference crossovers.  The Crusaders will play three non-conference matches in that stretch: at home vs Dallas Christian (Oct. 4), away at LeTourneau (Oct. 10), and home vs Mary-Hardin Baylor (Oct. 11).

The Crusaders end their regular season with three straight home games.  They will host Austin College for the final conference match of the season on Nov. 3, then host Millsaps and LeTourneau on Nov. 4.  The match against LeTourneau will be the Crusaders' Senior Night game.

"I'm excited to see what this team can accomplish this year," said head coach Kelli Trautmann.  "We have some freshmen coming in that will add talent and a positive balance to this team.  Our returners worked hard this spring, so I can't wait to see how we all come together as a team this fall.  I believe we can make a strong impact"
