Crusaders Defeated by Colorado College

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's volleyball team lost their conference match with Colorado College (RV) 3-0 on Saturday.  They fall to 8-18 on the year and 2-12 in conference play.

Set one was tight in the early goings, but the Tigers pulled away midway through, leading by as many as 10 points.  The Crusaders went on a 6-1 scoring to pull themselves back within five and make a game of it, but Colorado closed out the set 25-18.

The Crusaders were chasing the Tigers all of set two, but they hung tight the entire way and forced extras.  They had the match tied at 25-25, but Colorado once again notched those last two points to take the set.

Colorado nearly coughed up a sizable lead in set three.  After trading points early on, the Tigers built a nine point lead deep in the set, but a 7-1 run by Dallas nearly erased the deficit as they pulled back within three points.  They just couldn't quite ride that momentum to put the finishing touch on the set, as the Tigers won 25-22 to win the set and the match.

Cassie Dyoub led the team with 13 kills and was second on the team with 10 digs.  Larissa Ramirez led the team with 16 assists, and Devin Henry led with 11 digs.
