GEORGETOWN, Texas - The University of Dallas lost their conference matchup with Southwestern University in straight sets on Sunday. They fall to 6-11 on the year and 0-6 in conference play.
The Pirates set the tone early, scoring 10 straight points to open the match. Though it was a much closer game from there, Southwestern's lead only grew as they cruised to a 25-10 win in set one.
Set two was a tighter contest with the Crusaders keeping it close for much of the set. but Southwestern pulled away at the end with an 8-3 run to take set two 25-17.
Dallas really showed their grit and took a narrow lead deep into set three. But the Pirates rallied late once again, and completed the sweep with a 10-3 run to take set three 25-19.
