Women's Volleyball Defeat Centenary to End Regular Season

SEGUIN, Texas - The University of Dallas women's volleyball team split their  last two regular season matches, falling to Texas Lutheran 3-0 and defeating Centenary 3-1.

The Crusaders battled hard in sets one and three, dropping both sets by a score of 25-20.  UD led at various points in the first set, and it was all tied deep into the set at 19-19.  The Bulldogs scored five of the next six points to take set one before dominating the Crusaders in set two.  Once again, it was anyone's game in set three, with the Crusaders once again leading at various points throughout.  But the Bulldogs scored four of the last five points to win set three and complete the sweep.

The final game of the regular season went in UD's favor, as they beat Centenary for the second time this season.  They took sets one and two by comfortable 25-17 and 25-13 margins, but slipped in set three as Centenary forced a fourth set by winning 25-22.  But the Crusaders came right back and took set four 25-20 to see out the 3-1 win.  They are now 6-2 against Centenary over the last four seasons.  With that win, they currently sit  in 6th place with a conference record of 5-11, tied with St. Thomas.
