Crusaders Split Games, Take Set from #5 Trinity

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The University of Dallas women's volleyball team played in two conference matches today, defeating Schreiner 3-0 and falling to #5 Trinity 3-1.  It was the first time the Crusaders have taken a set from the Tigers since 2015.

The Crusaders were much more clinical in their finishing against Schreiner; kill count was nearly the same for both teams (DAL 33, SU 32), but the Mountaineers racked up 25 attack errors, thanks in no small part to the Crusaders blocking game.  They tallied three soo blocks and 10 block assists in the game, with Hannah Gibbons and Dayjah Whyte accounting for most of them.

Whyte led all players with 15.5 points, notching 13 kills on just two errors while hitting .355.  Gibbonshad five kills with no errors, hitting .385.  Larissa Ramirez had a double-double, accounting for 20 of the Crusaders 33 assists while also recording 11 digs.  Ellise Anable led the team with 18 digs.
