Women's Volleyball Drop Tough Match With TLU

SHERMAN, Texas - The University of Dallas women's volleyball team wrapped up their busy weekend with a loss to Texas Lutheran University.

The Crusaders started off strong in the first set, they hung tight with the Bulldogs most of the way, racking up 11 kills while hitting .175 as a team.  The Bulldogs were able to create some space with their service game; they committed one service error to the Crusaders four, and that alone would be nearly enough on its own as TLU took set one 25-20.

Texas Lutheran controlled the rest of the match, taking sets two and three by double-digits.  The Crusaders struggled to reach the same heights of the opening set against a tough Bulldogs defense, tallying a combined nine kills across sets two and three.

Cassie Dyoub led the team with six kills and 12 digs, while Larissa Ramirez recorded 16 assists.
