UD Volleyball Continues Home Stretch on Friday vs. St. Thomas
IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team will play its third home doubleheader in as many weekends this 2021 spring season when it hosts University of St. Thomas on Friday. The twinbill is scheduled for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Dallas (0-4, 0-4 SCAC) is seeking its first overall and set win of the campaign after dropping three to No. 4 Colorado College and Austin College the past two weeks.
Worth Noting
Dayjah Whyte (Round Rock, Texas) and Abigail Porras (El Paso, Texas) are the leaders on the team with 27 and 25 kills, respectively.
Cassie Dyoub (Frisco, Texas) has chipped in 16 kills in her rookie campaign.
Classmate Moriah Delgado (Fort Worth, Texas) is the leader in digs with 65.
Larissa Ramirez (San Antonio, Texas) and Abby Medico (Tulsa, Okla.) have eclipsed 40 assists as the two setters.
St. Thomas (4-0, 4-0 SCAC) is one-of-two unblemished teams in the conference and will be the second one UD faces this season. The Celts took down Texas Lutheran University and Centenary College at home this year. Both doubleheaders saw the first match go four sets and then the second was a straight sweep.
