GAME INFORMATION

The University of Dallas volleyball team plays four non-conference matches at the Baden Invitational hosted by University of Washington (MO) this Friday and Saturday. The Crusaders play Lakeland University (3 PM) and WashU (7 PM) on Friday. They wrap things up with Monmouth College (IL) (10 AM) and University of Wisconsin-Stout (12 PM).


MATCH NOTES

- Dallas (9-12) started October 2-2 with both triumphs coming in set sweeps.

- The Crusaders are 5-7 versus out of league opponents.

- Abigail Porras (El Paso, Texas) leads the team with 209 kills (2.71 k/s) and 35 service aces.

- Dayjah Whyte (Round Rock, Texas) has eclipsed double figures in past five-of-six outings, accumulating 84 in that span.

- Whyte was Player of the Week for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for the second time this season.

- Larissa Ramirez (San Antonio, Texas) carries 562 assists (7.30 a/set).

- Head Coach Kelli Trautmann will battle her sister Mandy Trautmann in Sibling Rivalry Game when Dallas plays UW-Stout.

- Lakeland enters 11-8 overall and on a five-game win streak.

- The Muskies have accumulated 805 kills (12.2 per set) compared to 786 (11.9) by their opposition. They also have edged foes in aces (131-89) and total blocks (103.0 - 73.0).

- Shannon Bishop has scored 280 points and has a team-high 230 kills (4.38 k/set). She also leads the team with 28 service aces.

- Washington University is 13-6 overall.

- The Bears are receiving votes (54) in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

- Michaela Bach leads a quintet of players that have pounded triple-digits for kills. Bach has 187, Tricia Brown has 184, Leila King has 180, Caitlin Lorenz has 138, and Alaina Bohrer has 124.

- Monmouth is 9-9 overall and has won three straight. Its record in neutral site games is 2-4.

- The Fighting Scots have totaled 86.5 blocks compared to 71.0 by the opposition. This includes 135 block assists. A trio of players have at least 30 led by Riley Cook with 48. Lauren Sperry and Megan Gilstrap add 33 and 32.

- Cook and Sperry are the top hitters with 169 and 117 kills, respectively.

- Wis.-Stout improved to 15-6 after an upset over No. 22 UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday.

- The Blue Devils have combined for 1,004 kills (13.0) and opponents only have 774.

- Lexie Nelson has posted 204 kills, while Lydia Kneubuehl (187), Amber Ripley (162), and Kara Simonson (110) complete the top quartet in triple-digits. The team has 158 service aces with six players in double figures and four that have eclipsed 26.

ROAD AHEAD

Dallas will host a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Crossover on October 18-19 with five matches both days including neutral site tilts. The Crusaders start the second half of league play against Southwestern University, Schreiner University, Colorado College, and Centenary College.
