FIRST SERVE

The University of Dallas volleyball team begins the second half of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) action with three matches over October 13th-14th. Colorado College will be the site of the second divisional of the campaign and start the trio of matchups for the Crusaders (7-13, 1-6 SCAC) on Friday at 6 p.m. (MST). Dallas will play two games on Saturday versus Centenary College (10:30 a.m. MST) and Austin College (3 p.m. MST). Dallas went 0-3 against these opponents in the first divisional last month held in Sherman, Texas.

Dallas is coming off a 3-1 home win versus Randall University a week ago. The Crusaders have won two-of-three matches to start the month, after they dropped five straight in conference play. In the most recent contest, Diana Hassink (Tulsa, Okla.) became the fifth player in the program to achieve 1,500 digs after having 16 that night. The senior joined Sarah Hughes (Fair Oaks, Calif.) with a double-double in kills and digs. The duo each had 10 kills and Hughes made 19 digs. Skyler Doty (Mesquite, Texas) collected a personal-best 24 digs in her first start at libero.
