Koster earns USCAA All-American Honorable Mention

IRVING, Texas – Junior Jessie Koster (Sherwood, Ore.) added to her postseason accolades by earning United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American Honorable Mention. This is the first time Koster has received this award in her career, and is the first member of the University of Dallas volleyball team to be named since 2012.

Theresa Wohldmann (Class of '13) and Emily Caples (Class of '15) both were listed. Overall 14 UD volleyball players have been named USCAA All-Americans, and 18 total times the honor has been given.

Koster set career marks this season, as the libero anchored the defense with 790 digs and 6.69 digs per set. Those totals shattered program records in a single season, and her digs per set clip topped Koster's previous career high in a campaign.

She ranked first in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) in digs per set, and second in total digs. Koster managed to be on the All-SCAC Second Team this past season as well.

Within the USCAA, Koster found her name etched in the top two each week, and has concluded this fall as the individual leader in digs. She slots second in digs per set. Koster also earned USCAA Player-of-the-Week for the week of October 27.

Koster broke into the category leader for digs per set with NCAA Division III last week, and holds that same spot with a three-way tie as of the latest release. The junior also ranks second in the entire league for total digs.
