IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team (10-13, 4-6 SCAC) fell 3-1 on Sunday afternoon to Austin College (15-10, 6-4 SCAC) at the Maher Center. It was the final match of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Divisional, and Dallas went 1-2 over the three-game span. UD also concluded a season-long, six-match home stint with a 2-4 mark.

The final set count favored the 'Roos: 21-25, 25-22, 25-11, and 25-14. The Lady Crusaders jumped out to a fast start in the opening frame – building a 4-0 run. After the road team got on the board with a pair of points, UD again would push a narrow lead to 7-4.

Austin College tallied four in a row to gain its first lead of the afternoon (8-7). Overall the teams would tie nine times in the set. The final time the scoreboard was knotted was 20-all and two points in a row would swing the momentum for the Navy and White. In the second set, the Lady Crusaders broke out of the beginning serve with three-straight points. Austin College was able to rattle off an 8-0 run and scored nine of the next 10 points. The teams would exchange points as Dallas eventually tied things 14-all, before the 'Roos took the lead for good on a UD error and kill from AC's Reygan Holloman.

Down by three (21-18), the home squad had a trio of kills in a row from sophomore Diana Hassink (Tulsa, Okla.), junior Lexi Noriega (Calinas, Calif.), and Dowgwillo, respectively, to bridge the margin to 22-21. However, the Roo's would even the set count to 1-1.
