Sophomore middle blocker Emily Caples garners USCAA Volleyball 'Player of the Week' accolade

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has named Emily Caples the USCAA Women's Volleyball Player-of-the-Week for matches spanning Monday, Aug. 27 through Sunday, Sept. 2. 

In four matches, Caples (Walnut Creek, Calif.), a sophomore middle blocker, recorded 50 kills and hit .337 during the week. She also averaged nearly a block per set as Dallas won three of four during the week.
