Wohldmann a 2012 USCAA 'Second Team' All-American; Caples garners 'Honorable Mention'

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Dallas senior outside hitter Theresa Wohldmann has been announced a 2012 Second Team All-American by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), while sophomore middle blocker Emily Caples has achieved Honorable Mention status.

The 2012 season saw Wohldmann (Florissant, Mo.) total 110 games in 33 matches played.

Wohldmann led Dallas with 3.35 kills per game. Tallying 1,548 career kills, she is the program's career leader in the category. Her 496 kills in 2010 hold weight as the single-season school record. 

Wohldmann was previously heralded a 2011 USCAA Honorable Mention All-American and a 2010 First Team selection. 

Appearing in 123 games and 34 matches, Caples (Walnut Creek, Calif.) ended regular-season play leading Dallas in blocks (89), while ranking top-three in kills (308), kills per game (2.50), service aces (43) and service aces per game (.35).
