Dallas takes fifth-place match 3-0 over Centenary College in 2012 SCAC Volleyball Championship

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Dallas volleyball team (18-20) achieved a 3-0 (25-10; 25-21; 25-14) victory over Centenary College of Louisiana in Saturday's fifth-place match at the 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Volleyball Championship.  

Sophomore middle blocker Emily Caples (Walnut Creek, Calif.) put down a match-high nine kills and had a hand in three blocked shots to lead Dallas. 

Sophomore setter C.J. Broadbent (Good Year, Ariz.) finished with 23 assists, helping the Crusaders to a .247 hitting percentage.

Freshman middle blocker Cat Dowgwillo (St. Louis, Mo.) hit .636 with seven kills on 11 attacks with no errors.

Senior outside hitter Theresa Wohldmann (Florissant, Mo.) recorded 16 digs for Dallas, while senior libero Emily Meyers (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) added 16.   

Centenary (2-31) freshman outside hitter Sarah Irons paced the Ladies with four kills, while freshman outside hitter Rachel Perkins added three.

Senior libero Jesi Wilcox and Perkins had nine digs apiece, as Centenary finished sixth in the SCAC.
