Volleyball goes 2-2 in SCAC East/West competition

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team matched a season-long four-game winning streak and improved to 4-7 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference thanks to winning three-of-four games at the SCAC East/West Competition hosted at Trinity University. The Crusaders split day one with a victory over Sewanee University and setback to Birmingham-Southern College. Dallas battled in all sets except for the last one on the day, where Birmingham-Southern pulled away with a 25-11 win to earn the match. The previous set finished in 28-26 fashion as UD avoided the sweep but was too tired for any progress beyond that.

On the second day, the Crusaders came out defeated Oglethorpe University in five sets. The last round went extra points as Dallas notched a 16-14 triumph to secure the win. They then edged Centre College in the latter match. After a seven-point win, the last trio of contests were decided by four points or less.
