Volleyball sweeps Arlington Baptist College and Rust College (Miss.) in home Tri-Match
IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team produced a pair of straight set sweeps over Arlington Baptist College and Rust College to keep the stretch of victories at home alive at eight straight. Five of those matches in that span have resulted in 3-0 finals for UD. The Crusaders went up two set wins, which included a convincing 25-6 tally in the second. The Patriots battled hard in the last frame, with Dallas needing a 26-24 total to complete the sweep.
Rust College was defeated 25-15, but then followed with a much closer performance in the middle set. After the Crusaders finished a 25-22 win, they walloped the opposition 25-13 with a .286 kill percentage. Theresa Wohldmann (14) and Emily Caples (11) combined for 35 kills. Amanda Kitten posted 28 assists.
