Volleyball handles St. Lawrence University (N.Y.) and Southwestern Christian College as host of 'Fall Break' Classic

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas improved its winning streak to a season-long five straight games with wins over St. Lawrence University (NY) and Southwestern Christian College.

The Crusaders deposited St. Lawrence in four sets. After the team won 27-25 in the third set, UD went on to secure the game on a 25-19 result in the fourth frame. Emily Caples led a trio of Crusaders in double figures for kills with 18. Danielle Fuchs followed with 12 and Rachel MacGillivray added 10. Elizabeth Baska nearly missed joining the group with nine. The team had 51 kills overall. Amanda Kitten was credited with 43 assists.

The Crusaders routed Southwestern Christian in the second match. They limited the opposition to three points in the first frame and 11 in each of the last two. Christine Jablonsky scored a game-high 10 kills and Taylor Suggs added eight. The team sent in 14 aces. Emily Meyers (5), Jenna Chmielewski (4) and C.J. Broadbent (4) combined for 13.
