Volleyball suffers road loss to Southwestern Assemblies of God University
WAXAHACHIE, Texas - The University of Dallas volleyball team (6-9; 0-3) was defeated in three sets (21-25; 20-25; 17-25) by Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Tuesday evening.
Though Dallas couldn't tame the Lady Lions, there were some noteworthy individual performances turned in by the Lady Crusaders.
5-foot-8 junior setter Amanda Kitten (Slaton, Texas/Lubbock-Cooper H.S.) added 33 assists to her all-time Dallas Volleyball career assists record, which currently sits at 3,095. 6-foot junior outside hitter Theresa Wohldmann (Florissant, Mo./Nerinx Hall H.S.) led the team with 11 kills out of 32 total attacks. Meanwhile, Emily Meyers (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./JSerra H.S.), a 5-foot-7 junior, totaled a team-high ten digs on the defensive side of the ball.

The Lady Crusaders will look to break their 0-3 conference-play snide when they travel to Memphis, Tenn., to participate in the Rhodes College (Tenn.) hosted SCAC Central/West portion of their schedule Oct. 1 - 2.
On Saturday, Oct. 1, Dallas will face off with Millsaps College (Miss.) at 2 p.m. before going head-to-head with Hendrix College (Ark.) at 4 p.m. Sunday's action pits Dallas versus Colorado College at 9 a.m. and against Rhodes College (Tenn.) at 3 p.m.
