Volleyball improves to 13-1
After previously losing to UT-Dallas on September 18, and in the process snapping a record 12 consecutive victories, the Crusaders appear back to their winning ways.
Rightside hitter Danielle Fuchs (St. Charles Mo./Duchesne H.S.) and outside hitter Theresa Wohldmann (Florissant, Mo/Nerinx Hall H.S.), led the way for UD, accumulating 15 kills each. Additionally, the sophomore duo each registered an ace. On the defensive end, Wohldmann excelled as well, amassing a team high 21 digs. Fuchs, along with senior libero Kelli Fuentes (Rowlett, TX/Rowlett H.S.), had 19 digs of their own. Sophomore setter Amanda Kitten (Slaton, TX/Lubbock-Cooper) wouldn't be outdone, however, as she led the team with 41 assists.
Up next for UD is a 7p.m. road game at Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Tuesday, September 28.
