UD Volleyball Outplay Dallas Christian College in Three Sets

The University of Dallas Crusaders won a match up with the Dallas Christian Crusaders in their 2010 season opener Wednesday night in Farmers Branch.  UD needed only three games to claim the match victory winning: 25-14, 25-21, and 25-13. Junior middle blocker Liz Baska (Tonganoxie, KS/Tonganoxie H.S.) and junior outside hitter Theresa Wohldmann (Florissant, MO/Nerinx Hall H.S.) each delivered 9 kills to lead the team offensively, while sophomore setter Amanda Kitten contributed 18 assists.  Wohldmann also led the team in aces with 6.  Kitten added 4, and Baska and sophomore defensive specialist Emily Glick (Dallas, TX/Nerinx Hall H.S.) each tallied 3. Defensively, Kitten and senior libero Kelli Fuentes (Rowlett, TX/Rowlett H.S.) tied for the team lead in digs with 6.
