The University of Dallas women's track and field team is set to participate in its first indoor meet since 2014. UD will compete at the Texas Tech Shootout on Friday and Saturday in Lubbock, Texas. The action on Friday begins at 4:00 p.m. Events on Saturday will start about 11:00 a.m.

SEASON PREVIEW

The Crusaders are coming off a fifth place finish at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships. Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) captured a gold medal at last year's SCAC Championship in her first ever run in 10,000 meter race. Hannah Green (Mission Viejo, Calif.) also was an all-conference award winner with her bronze finish in the women's pole vault competition. UD will look to move up at the conference championships with the veteran experience and under the direction of first year head coach Nick Schneigert. Schneigert was hired in August as the new cross country and track and field coach at UD.

Mary Korth (McKinney, Texas) will be the lone senior on the team, but will have five juniors behind her on this veteran group. Five newcomers were added to this year's roster including two women's soccer players: Maddie Rodriguez (Houston, Texas), and Anisa Meza (Helotes, Texas) and one cross country athlete Maria Pecha (San Antonio, Texas).
