PREVIEW: Crusaders Ready to Compete at SCAC Championships (4/26-4/27)

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's track and field team is set to compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships held at Trinity University on Friday and Saturday. Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) set a school record in the 5,000 meter race (18:54.61) in her last competition. She will now compete in the 10,000 meter race at the conference championships. Clare Hernandez (Dade City, Fla.) won the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Dan Vetch Invitational on March 30th. Hernandez will look to use that result to push herself toward the stage.

Dallas is coming off a fifth place finish at last year's conference championships held at Texas Lutheran University. Those returning for another run to the podium from that roster Anna Brunk (Lemont, Ill.), Hernandez, Nicole Zurita (Wichita, Kan.), Hannah Green (Mission Viejo, Calif.).
