IRVING, Texas -- The University of Dallas women's soccer team fell to McMurry on Sunday, with a final score of 0-3. Dallas is now 1-2 on the year.
The Crusaders found themselves down early in the 17th minute as the Warhawks scored the deciding goal. The Crusaders had three shots on the goal and could not find an opening in the McMurry defense. The Crusaders' Ella Charles was under siege defending the goal on 8 of the 11 shots she faced.
The Warhawks scored back-to-back unanswered goals in the second period that sealed the Crusaders' fate. The Crusaders picked up the intensity late in the match with a few aggressive plays, efforting to get on the board.
The Crusaders looked to continue their winning ways after Friday's 4-1 victory over Millsaps, but would ultimately come up empty against a fresh-legged Warhawks squad.
