Reed and Coronado Gather ALL-SCAC Honors
IRVING, Texas -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the complete list of All-SCAC Honors and two Crusaders landed in the conversation. Dallas' Claire Reed was tabbed Second Team All-SCAC and Nevaeh Coronado earned honorable mention.
Both Reed and Coronado were crucial pieces of the puzzle for Dallas all season long and these honors are well deserved.
Reed a senior midfielder from Harlinge, Texas, sat in the SCAC Top 10 in goals per game tied with Semya Chancellor. Reed netted 5 goals this season but had a hand in creating 13 points for the year. She led the Crusaders in assists (three) and game-winning goals (two).
Coronado a junior from Clovis, New Mexico had 4 total goals and had her hand in 8 of the points this season. Coronado was an energy shifter any time she touched the field and truly placed pressure on any defender. She was able to match her single-goal games each time, accounting for two points in each game she netted a goal.
