SEGUIN, Texas - The University of Dallas women's soccer team lost their conference matchup with Texas Lutheran 2-1 this evening, falling to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in conference.
The Crusaders looked very much the team in control, particulalry in the first half when they outshot the Bulldogs 13-6. It would be the Bulldogs who netted first, however, taking a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. May Lien Le leveled things up almost immediately, scoring the equalizer in the 22nd minute.
For all of their chances created, the Crusaders didn't quite have the finishing touch. Charleigh Phipps did her part in goal for TLU, recording seven saves. Samantha Martinez scored game-winner in the 75th minute, as the Crusaders search for their second goal was fruitless.
