GAME INFORMATION
The University of Dallas women's soccer team returns home after a five-game road trip to play that same amount of matches over the next three weeks in Irving. This home stretch begins Friday, October 11, versus Austin College.
SURGING START TO LEAGUE PLAY
The Crusaders (5-4-1, 2-0 SCAC) are above .500 a second time this season and coming off huge shutouts at Southwestern University and Texas Lutheran University to put them in first place with six points. Only other 2-0 start since joining the SCAC in 2011 occurred in 2013.
MATCH NOTES
- UD is 4-2 against SCAC opponents this season (1-0 at home).
- Dallas hasn't allowed a goal the last 185:17 minutes.
- Olivia Severson (La Crosse Wis.) has been the goalkeeper for those shutout minutes and has four overall clean sheets. The senior keeper has allowed eight goals (3rd fewest in SCAC), a .800 save percentage (5th), and 1.00 goals-against average (5th).
- Alyssa Mencacci (League City, Texas) is the steady offensive leader with five goals and 12 points. The freshman earned her second SCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
- Mencacci and Severson swept United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week Awards, too.
- Gigi Garcia Orozco (San Antonio, Texas) has notched four assists, which is tied second-most in conference and tied fourth. Three players are tied with five to lead the way. Orozco is even with a quintet of conference players. UD is 3-0-1 when Orozco records an assist.

- Austin College is 2-8-1 overall and started conference play at 0-2.
- The 'Roos have dropped seven in a row including being outscored 9-0 at TLU and Southwestern last weekend.
- Sarah Carmichael and Lina Cruz each have registered three goals. Cruz leads with seven points thanks to an assist.
- Maya Erwin has played in 10 matches (nine starts) and grabbed 67 saves (2.70 GAA) over 801:22 minutes in goal for AC.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Dallas topped the 'Roos 1-0 at Sherman on September 13 behind a Mencacci goal from Orozco in the 57th minute. Severson had three saves in 90 minutes, as the Crusaders captured their first win of the campaign.
