Quartet of Crusaders Named on Women's Soccer All-SCAC Teams

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – On Wednesday, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released the 2018 Women's Soccer All-Conference Awards. The University of Dallas placed a trio of players on the All-SCAC Second Team. Elisa Duran (Pomona, Calif.), Monica O'Donnell (Lincoln, Neb.), and May Lien Le (Katy, Texas) formed this group. Olivia Severson (La Crosse, Wis.) was named to the All-SCAC Honorable Mention Team.

Duran received a spot on the All-SCAC Second Team for the third consecutive year. Making 16 appearances on the pitch, the junior midfielder led the Crusaders in points (11) and goals (4). She is second on the squad in assists (3). She netted her first career hat trick and added a helper against Howard Payne University during a non-conference match. Duran had another crucial assist in a 1-0 victory over Schreiner University.

O'Donnell broke into her collegiate career with two goals and one assist for five points. Both of her goals came against Schreiner. The freshman's first collegiate scoring result proved to be the game-winner in the 1-0 result at Irving. O'Donnell started in all 16 matches. She also helped UD erase a 1-0 deficit on the road in what would be an eventual 2-2 draw.

Lien Le was another freshman that was a strong contributor on the field, making a start in all 16 matches. She tallied a pair of goals and assists for six points. Both goals came in the team's first SCAC matches versus Johnson & Wales University (CO) and Centenary College, respectively. She added an assist that was part of the game-winning goal against Schreiner.

Severson picked up her first career all-conference accolade with being named to the honorable mention list. In 15 matches (12 starts) the goalkeeper has posted 87 saves and a .763 save pct. She has been part of two shutouts in 1,144:09 minutes. Severson has double-digit save totals in four matches this fall, including three of the last four.
