GEORGETOWN, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team (6-3-1, 8-7-1 SCAC) played its first tie in 0-0 result on Friday night at Southwestern University (5-10-2, 5-4-1 SCAC).

The season-series ends up favoring Dallas 1-0-1 after the first meeting resulted in a 1-0 overtime win at Irving, Dallas a couple weeks ago.

The stalemate moves Dallas into sole possession of third place in the conference standings, after Texas Lutheran leapfrogged into second following a 2-1 win at Centenary College.

The Lady Crusaders were outshot 5-2 in the first half, and that was the frame that featured the most attempts combined between the two squads. An evened result of 3-3 characterized a second stanza that required extra regulation.

In overtime, the Pirates posted two shots per half, while Dallas' latest shot attempt came in the second half off a senior forward Nicole Johnson (Houston, Texas) effort that was blocked.

Johnson notched the only multi-shot match for the navy and white with two, and placed one on goal. The team displayed three shots on goal, with sophomore midfielder Cascade Mayer (Kapaa, Hawaii) and senior defender Kayla Nguyen (Olathe, Kan.) going one-for-one with a 100 percent shot on goal percentage.

Junior forward Mariah Fairbanks (Rocklin, Calif.) also attempted a shot in the draw.

Freshman goalkeeper Elena Naccari (Covington, La.) started and worked the entirety of a 110 minute contest while participating in her fourth shutout of the campaign. The rookie faced 14 shots and logged a pair of saves.
