Bethany (KS) 3, UDallasWSoccer 1

LINDSBORG, Kan. - The University of Dallas women's soccer team (2-2) was unable to slow down Bethany College's Sarah Henderson, who claimed a hat trick in a 3-1 setback for the navy and white on Sunday.

The loss snaps a stretch of back-to-back victories for the Crusaders as BC moves to .500 (2-2).

Senior forward Nicole Johnson (Houston, Texas) clobbered her third goal in two days, and put the road team up 1-0 early. She has netted the team's last three scores, with the latest occurring early at the 5:33 minute mark. UD remained in front through the break.

Henderson knotted the contest early into the second half, scoring in the 51st minute. She also would find the back of the net at the 63:46 and 86:15 marks to secure the three-goal feat. Jenee Fox and Nichole Washburn each collected an assist.

Dallas did remain competitive on defense as the Swedes pounded 21 shots to the six taken by the navy and white. Senior defender Kaitlin Meske (Waco, Texas) led the Crusaders with two shots and was the lone player to kick more than one.

Freshman goalkeeper Tori Fleharty (Richmond, Texas) came three shy of a season-high with 11 saves, as she faced 21 shots total. The rookie allowed all three goals in the setback (2-2).
