Women's Soccer wins another in Alabama

Wrapping up their Alabama swing of the schedule, the University of Dallas women's soccer team (6-10-1) defeated Huntingdon College, 1-0, Sunday afternoon.

UD freshman Claire Sexton (Salem, Va./Salem H.S.) continues to assert her will on the soccer field, as the talented forward netted the match's only score in the 16th minute. Freshman defender Emily Rogers (San Antonio, TX/MacArthur H.S.) was credited with the assist.

The duo of Sexton and Rogers combined for 11 points over the weekend. Sexton had three goals, while Rogers had a goal and three assists.

Brigid Hasson (Fairfax, Va./Trinity at Meadowview), UD's goalkeeper, and yet another freshman making an indelible impact for the Crusaders, notched her sixth shutout of the season. Hasson now has back-to-back shutouts, including three in her last four outings.

Next on the slate for UD will be a home match versus Hendrix College on Friday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m.
