Women's Soccer bitten by Yellow Jackets

On Tuesday afternoon, the University of Dallas women's soccer team (4-10-1) fell to hosting Howard Payne University by the count of 0-3.

UD matched the Jackets in shots on net with eight for the game, but couldn't get any to find the back of the net.

Crusader freshman forward Claire Sexton (Salem, VA/Salem H.S.) led the squad in shots with eight, including a team high four on net.

Sophomore midfielder Summer Northern (Castle Rock, CO/Douglas County H.S.) followed Sexton's performance with two shots on net, while freshman defender Emily Rogers (San Antonio, TX/McArthur H.S.) and senior midfielder Hannah Langsfeld (Albuquerque, NM/Albuquerque Academy) each recorded a shot on target.  UD freshman keeper Brigid Hasson (Fairfax, VA/Trinity at Meadowview) made five saves.

Next, UD will head to Judson College, in Marion, Ala., where they'll play the Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 30, in a 3:00 p.m. start.
