Sexton Ties Women's Soccer Scoring Record

Freshman forward Claire Sexton (Salem, VA/Salem H.S.) didn't waste anytime in making a name for herself.  In the September 7 game against LeTourneau University at Longview, TX, Sexton recorded 4 goals (2 each half) to tie the mark for goals in a game in the 6-0 win.  The record had been reached five times before Sexton joined the ranks of Jen Fallon, Christine Read (twice), Liz Mikkelsen, and Kateri Collins.  Only two games into her college career Sexton has amassed 5 goals accounting for 50 percent of UD's goals in lopsided 4-0, and 6-0 affairs.

The 2-0 Crusaders remain on the road when they take on the Austin College Kangaroos on Sunday, September 12 at 1:00pm.  The team returns home on September 17 for a 3:00pm game against Bethany College.
