Crusaders Beaten by Hendrix

CONWAY, Ak. - The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team lost their non-conference matchup with Hendrix College 23-3 on Sunday.  They fall to 1-7 on the year.

The Warriors came out of the gates hot, taking a 4-0 lead after two minutes.  Gabby Dixon put the Crusaders on the board not long after with a free position goal.  After a brief stalemate, Hendrix notched their fifth goal with 9:44 left on the clock, abd would make it a 9-1 game after one quarter.

The second quarter was much closer, as the Crusaders had long stretches where they were defending well and keeping the Warriors out of the net.  Despite netting their second goal, once again courtesty of Dixon, Hendrix would add to their lead and take a 13-2 advantage into half time.

Sophia Haeuser opened the scoring in the second half with an unassited goal not even 90 seconds in, her team-leading 14th goal of the season.  It would be the last goal of the day for Dallas, as Hendrix continued to build on their lead and secure a comfortable win.

Dixon would lead the Crusaders in goals, ground balls, and caused turnovers in the game.  Kathleen Rodda faced 38 shots on net, saving 15 of them.
