THE LEAD VS. THE PIRATES

The University of Dallas women's lacrosse team plays its second home match of the season on Saturday versus fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) member, Southwestern University. The match is slated to begin at 4 p.m. The match does not count toward the traditional seeding of conference tournament since there are no countable league games. All four teams will qualify for the SCAC Tournament in Georgetown, Texas, on April 25-26.

Emily Pauletti (Dallas, Texas) has done the offensive damage for UD in two games with six of the team's eight goals. This included matching a career-high five goals last time out versus Elmira College. Ann Rushing (Brighton, Mich.) netted the other two goals for Dallas in that same contest.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Southwestern University enters 2-1 on the season, having defeated Elmira College, 17-4, on February 17 in its last game. The Pirates have totaled 36 goals with a 33-11 scoring margin in the two wins. They lost 20-3 to a talented Rhodes College.

Johnee Wolter has done most of the scoring with eight goals and has a team-high 11 points. Grace Maynard and Emma Pertuit have each contributed seven goals. Deanna Hames has dished four assists to go with four goals, while Haley Hurt is another dangerous scorer with five goals thus far.
